Tottenham want to sign Eric Garcia from Barcelona for €15m – reports
Fichajes reports that Tottenham Hotspur are working on a summer move for Barcelona defender Eric Garcia, with a bid of around €15m being prepared for the 24-year-old centre-back, according to reports in Spain.
Garcia regained his form under Míchel at Girona after struggling to establish himself at Barcelona. His performances in La Liga under Flick have caught the attention of Spurs, who are keen to strengthen their defensive options ahead of next season.
The north London club view Garcia as a strategic signing due to his age, experience in English football, and tactical versatility. The defender previously played for Manchester City before returning to Spain in 2021.
Although no official offer has been submitted yet, talks are expected to accelerate in the coming weeks. Barcelona, meanwhile, are open to selling Garcia if the proposal is convincing for both the club and the player. His current contract at Camp Nou runs until 2026.
