Liverpool not in advanced stage of Ibrahima Konate contract extension talks - Paul Joyce

Liverpool appear to be struggling in their attempts of tying down Ibrahima Konate to a new long-term contract.

As per The Times’ Paul Joyce, the Reds are not in an advanced stage of agreeing a new extension with the French defender.

The 25-year-old defender’s contract expires at the end of June, 2026 and he is strongly being linked to an exit, with PSG interested in him.

Konate has made 37 appearances for Liverpool so far this season, which includes featuring in 26 Premier League games too.
