Man United sent over their scouts to watch Diogo Costa in action during FC Porto’s 2-1 win over Famalicao on Friday (18 April), as per Record.
The Red Devils are claimed to be at the front of the quete to sign the Portuguese goalkeeper in the summer window, knowing he’s into the final years of his contract at Porto.
However, Man United are going to face a fight from AS Roma for Costa’s signing, as the Italian club are also extensively scouting him.
The Portuguese goalkeeper has a rumoured release clause of £62.5m, but Man United feel they can negotiate a deal for £50m.
Costa has made 41 appearances for Porto so far this season, in which he’s conceded 44 goals and kept 18 clean sheets.
