Real Madrid are preparing in case things go wrong this week. If they are knocked out of the Copa del Rey and drop points in La Liga, Carlo Ancelotti could be on his way out. The club want Xabi Alonso and are working on a friendly deal with Bayer Leverkusen without paying his release clause.
Sport report that a loan deal could be part of the talks, and Arda Guler’s name is on the table. Real Madrid are open to including a player in the operation to reach an agreement.
The same source say Guler wanted to leave in the summer but has changed his mind. He now wants to wait and believes his lack of chances is down to Ancelotti.
