Ruben Amorim confirms Luke Shaw rested for Wolves clash

Luke Shaw is not in the Man United squad for their upcoming Premier League clash against Wolves.

When asked about the reason for this, Ruben Amorim stated: "So I can give you the example of Luke Shaw. Shaw, in my mind, was more 30 minutes with all the problems we had with Victor (Lindelof) and Nous (Noussair Mazraoui) and then extra-time.

"He did a very good job but a lot of minutes, so he has to feel that load, rest now and we will train for the next game.

Shaw played for 75 minutes against Lyon in the 5-4 win, and it seems the gaffer is protecting him from picking up another injury.

Amorim also spoke about giving Tyler Fredricson his debut against Wolves, stating: "He's really composed, he's really humble, every training he has with the first-team, he is really focused on every detail of training. He's really good on the ball, and it's a good opportunity for him."
