Arsenal, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are leading the race to sign Sporting CP’s 25-year-old captain Morten Hjulmand, according to CaughtOffside.
The Danish midfielder has caught the eye of several European clubs with his technical ability and leadership, but the North London rivals are the most determined suitors. With Thomas Partey and Jorginho set to leave Arsenal in the summer, Hjulmand is seen as an ideal replacement to bolster their midfield.
Sporting are aiming to secure €50million-60 million for their star, whose contract runs until June 2028. Transfermarkt values him at €45 million.
This season, Hjulmand has featured in 42 matches for Sporting, scoring three goals and providing two assists, solidifying his reputation as a dynamic defensive midfielder.
