Burnley and Leeds secure Premier League return

Burnley have secured an immediate return to the Premier League after defeating Sheffield United 2-1 at Turf Moor in a crucial promotion clash.

Josh Brownhill was the hero for Burnley, scoring both goals to help Scott Parker's side extend their lead to eight points over Sheffield United with only two games remaining.

Meanwhile, Leeds United also secured their return to the Premier League after an emphatic 6-0 win over Stoke City. The dominant performance ensured that Leeds would join Burnley in returning to the top-flight for the upcoming season.

For Sheffield United, however, the defeat means they will now face a tense play-off battle for the final promotion spot. Chris Wilder’s team will need to regroup as they prepare for the lottery of the play-offs, with hopes of securing their place in next season’s Premier League still very much alive.
