Hansi Flick ahead of Mallorca clash: 'We don’t know how long Lewandowski will be out, Ferran Torres in great form'
Hansi Flick spoke to the press ahead of their La Liga match against Mallorca on Tuesday. He praised their opponents and gave updates on key players.
“They’re having a very good season. They have the opportunity to play in Europe next season. It’ll be a tough match. They’re one of the best in transition.”
Flick was asked about Robert Lewandowski’s fitness. “We’ll have to wait and see. When he’s available to play, we’ll all be very happy. We don’t know how long he’ll be out, so I’d rather not say anything.”
He also praised Ferran Torres, who is expected to lead the attack in Lewandowski’s absence. “Ferran is in a very good moment, he’s scored ten La Liga goals. The number 9 position is his now. He’s quick, presses well, and contributes defensively.”
“He’s in very good form, but we have to manage because we need him until the end of the season.”
