'I don’t expect Cunha to be a July or August deal - Man United want it done fast': Fabrizio Romano
Manchester United have intensified their pursuit of Wolves forward Matheus Cunha, with fresh contacts made in the last 48 hours between the club and the player’s representatives, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The latest developments indicate that United are keen to move quickly in the transfer market, with Romano stating that the club is not planning to let this drag into the latter stages of the window.
"My understanding is that Manchester United will push to get this deal done soon in the market... I don't expect Cunha to be one of the cases we are discussing in July/August... I think Manchester United will try to be fast.
"Cunha is a strong, strong candidate to become a new United player. Conversations are advancing," Romano shared.
The connection between Cunha and United appears to be growing stronger, with a particularly positive rapport developing between the Brazilian and manager Ruben Amorim.
"There was some sort of great connection between United, Amorim, and Cunha," Romano added.
