Joao Palhinha could leave Bayern after just one season as Fulham push for return - reports

BILD reports that Joao Palhinha’s future at Bayern Munich appears increasingly uncertain, with the Portuguese midfielder linked with a return to the Premier League. Fulham, the club he left last summer in a deal worth €51m, are working on bringing him back to Craven Cottage.

Despite arriving with high expectations, Palhinha has struggled to fully establish himself as a key figure in Bayern's midfield. The club’s disappointing Champions League exit and their broader squad reshuffle have placed several players’ futures under review, and Palhinha is among those deemed expendable.

Bayern are facing financial pressure to generate income through player sales, and a return for Palhinha would represent a significant opportunity for the German giants to recoup part of their investment. The 29-year-old has remained on good terms with his former club, and Fulham are believed to be keen on reuniting with him as they prepare for another push in the Premier League next season.

With Bayern aiming to overhaul their squad this summer, Palhinha’s exit could be one of several high-profile moves in what is shaping up to be a busy transfer window at the Allianz Arena.
