Roy Keane on Kevin De Bruyne joining Manchester United: 'He wouldn't need to move houses'
Roy Keane has suggested that Kevin De Bruyne could make a shock move to Manchester United after leaving rivals Manchester City this summer. De Bruyne, 33, will part ways with City when his contract expires at the end of the season. The club has informed him they will not be offering a new deal, bringing an end to his 10-year stint at the Etihad Stadium.
"United? He wouldn't have to move house," Keane said on Sky Sports. "We know how ruthless Man City can be at a certain age. Give him time on the ball and he will punish you, all he needs is a moment. As much as you try and stop him, you can't in certain areas."
While Saudi Arabia and the United States have been mentioned as potential destinations for the Belgium international, De Bruyne has hinted that he could remain in the Premier League. A return to Chelsea has also been backed by some, but Keane believes United could be a good fit for the midfielder.
Although City’s focus has shifted away from the Champions League and the Premier League title, De Bruyne still has the chance to end his season with silverware, as the club faces Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup semi-finals this week.
