Ferran Torres: 'It's a great moment, but we need to stay focused'
Barcelona forward Ferran Torres has expressed his joy after helping the team secure a dramatic 3-2 extra-time victory over Real Madrid in the Copa del Rey final.
Speaking after the match, Torres acknowledged the significance of giving fans a moment to celebrate but reminded his teammates to stay grounded with the Champions League semi-finals ahead.
“It was a great opportunity to bring some joy to the fans. It’s important to enjoy this moment, but we need to stay focused because the Champions League semi-finals are coming up,” he said.
Torres, who scored a key goal in the final and finished as the competition’s top scorer, reflected on his consistent efforts throughout the season.
“I just try to keep working hard. Consistency is everything. I have the talent to make things happen,” he explained.
When asked if this victory marks the beginning of a new era for Barcelona, Torres remained cautious but optimistic: “I’m not sure if it’s a new era, but it certainly gives us a boost of motivation for what’s to come.”
