Hansi Flick: 'Today, we can celebrate'
Barcelona coach Hansi Flick has shared his thoughts following his team's thrilling 3-2 extra-time victory over Real Madrid in the Copa del Rey final.
“It was a final, and there were two incredible teams. We fought until the very end," Flick said. "I have a lot of respect for Real Madrid, and I’m truly impressed by what my players are doing. You can see the passion here. Today, they can celebrate, but tomorrow we turn our focus to what’s next.”
Flick continued to highlight the team's determination: “I’m extremely grateful to the team. They played brilliantly, always aiming for goals and never giving up. It’s truly incredible.”
On his relationship with Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti, Flick added: "We wished each other good luck. I have great respect for him, and it’s always a pleasure to face him."
