Hansi Flick: 'This stadium belongs to Ferran Torres'
Hansi Flick has expressed deep gratitude for the warm atmosphere at Barcelona following their 3-2 extra-time victory over Real Madrid in the Copa del Rey final.
"Whenever you take on a job like this, you have to always stay positive. I was genuinely surprised by the kindness I’ve received. I’ve felt very happy at the club," Flick shared, appreciating the club's welcoming environment.
He went on to discuss the overall mood, saying, "The atmosphere throughout the day has been incredible. This victory gives us confidence, and perhaps we can achieve even more."
On his brief interaction with Real Madrid’s manager Carlo Ancelotti, Flick explained, "He simply congratulated me and wished me good luck."
Flick took a moment to praise the defense, particularly the young Pau Cubarsi: "All the defenders have been fantastic. Pau, at just 18, has been exceptional. He looks like a much more experienced player."
He also spoke highly of Ferran Torres’ performance, stating, "This stadium is his. He’s scored many goals here with the national team as well. Ferran, playing as a ‘9’, is very effective."
