Chelsea open to Wesley Fofana's departure this summer, Olympique Marseille interested - reports
Chelsea are reportedly considering parting ways with injury-prone defender Wesley Fofana this summer, according to Foot Mercato.
Fofana, the 24-year-old Frenchman, has struggled with persistent injuries since his €80 million move from Leicester City in 2022. This season, Fofana has made only 14 appearances across all competitions, and since joining Chelsea three summers ago, he has managed just 34 appearances in total.
Given his ongoing injury issues, Chelsea are open to letting Fofana leave, whether on loan or in a permanent move. French club Olympique de Marseille, a long-time admirer of the centre-back, is believed to remain interested in securing his services.
