Chelsea are setting their sights on bolstering their defence this summer, with the club identifying Dean Huijsen and Marc Guehi as key targets, according to TEAMtalk.

The Blues are planning to bring in two new centre-backs ahead of the 2025/26 campaign and view Huijsen and Guehi among the most highly-rated profiles available on the market.

Huijsen, currently at Bournemouth, has emerged as one of the Premier League's standout defenders this season. The 20-year-old is attracting interest from top clubs across Europe and has a £50 million release clause in his contract.

Meanwhile, Chelsea are also keeping close tabs on Crystal Palace's Marc Guehi. The 24-year-old England international, who came through Chelsea's youth academy, is seen as a natural fit to return to Stamford Bridge.

Guehi’s contract at Selhurst Park runs until the summer of 2026, but Palace are reportedly open to selling him this summer in order to avoid losing him for free later. The Eagles are said to be willing to part ways with their star defender for a fee in the region of £40 million.
