Ancelotti's Brazil deal on 'brink of collapse' amid Real Madrid dispute

A potential takeover of the Brazilian national team by Carlo Ancelotti has hit a roadblock, with reports suggesting the deal is on the verge of collapse.

According to sources, Real Madrid are unwilling to let Ancelotti leave the club before the upcoming Club World Cup, which conflicts with the Brazilian Football Confederation's (CBF) need for a national team coach.

Ancelotti had reportedly been in talks to take over the Brazil team, with his debut scheduled for May 6 against Ecuador in the South American qualifiers.

However, CBF president Ednaldo Rodrigues' urgency to appoint a coach appears to be at odds with Real Madrid's plans for Ancelotti.

The Italian coach had travelled to London for discussions about the potential Brazil role but has since returned to Spain, fueling speculation about the deal's status.

With both parties seemingly at an impasse, Ancelotti's future remains uncertain.
