Bayern Munich defender Eric Dier set to join AS Monaco

In a surprising move, English centre-back Eric Dier is poised to leave Bayern Munich for AS Monaco.

According to reports, the deal has been finalized, with Dier agreeing to a contract valid until June 2027, plus an option to extend.

The 31-year-old has been a valuable asset to Bayern, stepping up in the absence of key defenders and showcasing his experience and reliability.

Despite his impressive performances, which have caught the eye of the club's hierarchy, Dier's departure seems imminent.

Bayern's sporting director Max Eberl recently praised Dier's contributions, saying, "Eric has been immense since Dayot's injury. He's shown his experience and reliability."

However, with his current deal set to expire in June 2025, Dier's exit appears to be a done deal, paving the way for his new chapter at AS Monaco.
