The move follows a similar incident in December when Crystal Palace captain Marc Guehi was reminded by the FA about the rules after displaying a religious message on his rainbow captain's armband. Guehi was not formally charged, but the reminder emphasized the FA’s stance on messages of this nature during matches.
While players are allowed to express personal beliefs, the FA has rules in place to ensure that such displays do not contravene the organisation’s guidelines on messaging during games.
