'I adore him': Olivier Giroud expresses his admiration for Desire Doue
Ahead of the exciting clash between Arsenal FC and Paris Saint-Germain in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League semifinals, Olivier Giroud has opened up in an interview with Le Parisien.
For the occasion, the French international didn't hesitate to praise his young compatriot, Desire Doue. The former Arsenal player spoke highly of the 19-year-old star, who is shining under the guidance of coach Luis Enrique.
"Oh, I adore him. I was in the stands on March 23 at the Stade de France when he came on against Croatia. He presented himself with a lot of energy, personality, and character. He didn’t get everything right, but he dared. He’s constantly provoking and has this ease of driving forward," said the 38-year-old striker, before adding:
"He’s quick and has a very nice strike on the ball. I had already noticed him in February 2024 when we faced Rennes with AC Milan in the Europa League. He caught my eye."
