'It was exceptional': Eriksen hails Old Trafford atmosphere in thrilling win over Lyon
Christian Eriksen has praised Manchester United supporters for their passionate backing during the club’s thrilling 5-4 victory over Lyon, a result that sealed their place in the UEFA Europa League semi-finals, where they will face Athletic Club.
"It was special. Obviously, I think the noise comes with good results and good timing and being at the right place at the right time.
"And I think everyone in the stadium who was still here and stayed here for a long time at the end of the game. But I think it was just a big boost for everyone.
"I think even the fans sort of believed that we actually believed that we were going to score that extra goal to come back in the game after Bruno's penalty. And then, yeah, it was just, yeah, it was exceptional. Atmosphere was very, very good," Christian has said.
