Pep Guardiola on Man City youngster Rico Lewis: 'Best I've ever seen'
Pep Guardiola has expressed his pleasure at Manchester City's latest youngster bursting onto the scene - Rico Lewis.
"Rico helped us a lot as an inverted full back but I think his perfect positon is a pocket because he moves in small positions like Phil [Foden]," Guardiola explained, quoted by the MEN.
"He has the ability in the small spaces, he has to be aggressive in the next action. He has always been really good.
"He plays in the pockets, 8 or 10. He moves really well in small spaces.
"Sometimes when we play not good like this season it is not necessary but when we play really good and drop the opponents in the final third it's really important to move in small spaces and Rico is one of the best I've ever seen.
"He scored a fantastic goal but he has a quality that likes to be there in the final third."
