Scholes on Liverpool's title win: 'An incredible achievement. You could bet they'll win the Premier League again before Man United do'

Paul Scholes has shared his thoughts on Liverpool's Premier League triumph.

The Reds have clinched the title early. Arne Slot’s team has earned 82 points after 34 matches.

"I started thinking Liverpool had a real chance of winning the title when I saw how they played at Old Trafford in September. I know Manchester United haven’t been in top form, but Liverpool really impressed me.

"Everyone in the team scores, and I thought that if Virgil van Dijk and Alisson stayed fit, they’d have a great chance. Even though Alisson missed a few games, van Dijk kept playing, and winning the league is a tremendous achievement.

"They probably weren’t under much pressure from rivals, considering Manchester City haven’t been great this year and Arsenal draw too many games. But even if the competition had been tighter, I think Liverpool still would’ve found another gear and won it. Over the past five weeks or so, it's been quiet—no one really chased them.

"It looked fairly easy, but it’s still an incredible accomplishment. In my opinion, they’ve been the best team in the league. No one else came close, so they deserve praise for that.

"When I retired, Liverpool were just two titles behind us, so it was always possible they’d catch up to Manchester United. And with the way things are now, you could bet that Liverpool will win it again before Manchester United do," wrote the former United midfielder in his column.
