William Saliba: 'I grew up watching Henry. Never thought I’d play for Arsenal'
Arsenal defender William Saliba has shared his feelings about playing for the London club:
“I grew up watching Thierry Henry. I mostly watched clips, not full matches, because the Premier League wasn’t broadcast in my country. Sometimes I was lucky enough to catch Arsenal games in the Champions League.
"That’s how it all started — with Henry and those videos. That’s when I fell in love with the club. I never imagined I’d one day play for Arsenal, but sometimes that’s how life works out.
"I had to work hard and go through some difficult periods. Now I’m very happy — I enjoy every game and I love this club.
"I want to win titles. Things are going well, but what we’re missing is trophies. I want to win some big ones — those are what people remember even 20 years later,” Saliba said.
