Barcelona open to offers exceeding €70m for Olmo as his transfer becomes disappointing - reports

El Nacional reports that Barcelona are willing to listen to offers for Dani Olmo if they exceed €70m, amid concerns over the player's lack of consistency this season.

The 27-year-old arrived at the club with high expectations, but his season has been marred by frequent muscle injuries and absences, limiting his ability to maintain regular form. Despite some flashes of brilliance, Olmo has only managed to feature in 35 official matches, scoring 11 goals and providing 5 assists. His performances have been sporadic, with his most notable contributions being spread out over the course of the season.

The club's disappointment in Olmo's lack of impact was particularly evident in high-stakes matches such as the Copa del Rey final against Real Madrid and the recent fixture against Inter, where his performances fell short of expectations. Furthermore, his visible frustration when substituted during key moments of the season has raised concerns within the coaching staff.

Despite these challenges, Barcelona’s manager Hansi Flick continues to believe in Olmo's potential. However, sources close to the club suggest that if the player’s inconsistency continues, the club would entertain offers exceeding €70m for his services.

Olmo, who still has a contract with Barcelona until 2030, has expressed his desire to remain at the club. However, with Barcelona's willingness to listen to offers, it remains to be seen whether the player will continue his journey at the Camp Nou or seek a new challenge in the upcoming transfer window.
