"We are disappointed to see Arnold leave, not only because he is a fantastic human being, but also because a very talented right-back is leaving the club," Slot said.
On whether Alexander-Arnold could play for Real Madrid in the upcoming Club World Cup, Slot commented: "He hasn't said anything about it himself. The only thing he said is that he's going to leave the club."
Slot also addressed the pressure the player is facing from the media: "It's a bit more for him than he is used to. And probably a bit more negative than he is used to. I am not here to tell the fans how they should react."
