Lamine Yamal: 'We don't fear Real Madrid, maybe other teams are scared, we feel superior to any team'
Lamine Yamal has shared his thoughts after Barcelona’s 4-3 victory over Real Madrid. Speaking to ESPN, he said: "Maybe some other teams are scared of Real Madrid, but we don't fear them. We feel superior to any team."
He reflected on Barcelona’s recent experiences with Madrid: "It doesn't feel good when Madrid beat you. It's true we didn't beat them last year, we suffered, and this year we gave everything to turn it around."
Yamal went on to emphasise Barcelona's confidence: "We don't have that fear of them that maybe other teams have against them. So we gave it our all. We feel like we're better than every other team, that's the mentality we go out with."
He added that this mindset is crucial in facing top teams: "I think that's how you have to play against them. You have to show up like you're the better team and enjoy yourself, that's it."
