Leeds United reportedly eye Chelsea’s goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic

Leeds United are weighing up a move for Chelsea goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic following his impressive loan spell at Strasbourg, according to TEAMtalk.

The Serbian international has caught the eye in Ligue 1 this season, leading the division in save percentage (75%) and accurate passes (913) over 30 appearances. His standout form has prompted Leeds to consider him a key target as they reshape their squad in preparation for a return to the Premier League.

Club sources indicate that Petrovic, 25, is high on the shortlist of goalkeeping options, with his representatives already aware of Leeds’ growing interest. The Yorkshire club are aiming to upgrade between the posts, having concluded that current keeper Illan Meslier may not be the right fit to lead them in the top flight.

While Petrovic’s future at Chelsea remains unclear, the Blues have yet to decide whether to retain him or sanction a departure.

Djordje Petrovic has made 30 appearances this season, keeping 10 clean sheets, and conceding 35 goals. See detailed stats on Tribuna.com.
