Manchester United limit players to two free tickets each for Europa League final - BBC

Manchester United players will be limited to just two complimentary tickets each for next week’s Europa League final against Tottenham Hotspur in Bilbao, as the club continues its cost-cutting measures.

United’s squad have been informed they will be able to purchase up to 10 additional tickets for the final, which takes place on 21 May at the San Mames Stadium. However, players must personally handle all logistics for friends and family traveling to and from the northern Spanish city.

The club says it is prioritising allocating as many tickets as possible from its official 15,000 allocation to fans. The decision comes as part of a wider campaign to reduce operational costs, which has already seen a number of long-standing staff perks removed.

Over the weekend, it was also revealed that Manchester United employees will not be provided free tickets to the final, breaking with previous tradition. Instead, a club-hosted viewing party is set to take place in central Manchester for staff members.
