Monterrey parts ways with coach Martín Demichelis

Mexican club Monterrey has officially announced the dismissal of head coach Martín Demichelis, citing a need for change.

During his tenure, which began in August 2024, Demichelis led the team in 43 matches, securing 20 victories and 11 draws, with 12 defeats.

In a statement, the club thanked Demichelis and his coaching staff for their professionalism and dedication, wishing them success in their future endeavors.

Monterrey's management expressed appreciation for the support of their fans and promised a timely announcement regarding the new head coach.

Demichelis's departure also means he will not lead the team at the upcoming Club World Cup, where they would have faced his former club River Plate from Buenos Aires.

The club is expected to name a new head coach soon to prepare for upcoming challenges.
