Nasser Al-Khelaifi, president of PSG, absent from UNFP Awards ceremony – Here’s why
On Sunday, while the Ligue 1 award winners were being honored at the UNFP Awards ceremony, Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi was notably absent.
According to La Source Parisienne, the 51-year-old club president missed this major event for a good reason.
He chose to support the PSG women’s team, who defeated Paris FC 3–0 in the semi-final of the Arkema Premiere Ligue. This victory earned them a place in the final against Olympique Lyonnais and a chance to claim a second league title.
PSG’s women’s team also took revenge on Paris FC, who had beaten them in the Coupe de France final earlier.
