Bayer Leverkusen reportedly eye Pau Victor for summer move
Barcelona forward Pau Victor is attracting interest from Bayer Leverkusen, according to SPORT. The 23-year-old is looking for regular minutes next season and could leave the club this summer.
Victor has had a solid season with Barca Atletic and was called up to the senior squad several times. He turned down offers in January, hoping to earn more time on the pitch. He was used more often in the second half of the campaign, mostly off the bench.
Barcelona are expected to bring in new forwards, making it harder for Victor to break through. Spanish sides like Betis, Celta Vigo and Mallorca are interested in loan deals, but Leverkusen seem more serious and could push for a permanent move.
The German club are preparing for changes after Xabi Alonso’s exit. Although it's still unclear if Cesc Fabregas will take over, their interest in Victor is not linked to any coach in particular.
Barcelona are open to all options. If Victor wants to stay and fight for a place, they will keep him. But they will also listen to serious offers. At 23, this could be a key moment in his career.
