Man United's under-18 coach Adam Lawrence departs

Adam Lawrence, Manchester United's Under-18 manager, has departed from his position after four years with the club.

The 39-year-old coach had been reported likely to leave last week, and his departure has now been confirmed as he seeks a new challenge.

Lawrence has been offered roles in English Football League first-team coaching set-ups and is currently considering his options ahead of the new season.

Sources close to the coach say he is open to working in a first-team environment or another academy role, and is willing to work anywhere geographically.

In a statement, Lawrence expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to work with the young players, saying it had been a privilege to witness their growth as people and players.

He thanked the club and wished the players he worked with all the best for their future.

Nick Cox, Head of the academy, praised Lawrence's contribution to the club, highlighting his passion for helping young players reach their potential.

Cox wished Lawrence good luck in his future endeavors, noting that the academy takes pride in supporting staff development.
