Marseille plan to keep Rabiot but are open to Greenwood's transfer

Marseille's coach Roberto De Zerbi's method of mini training camps in Italy seems to have paid off, as the team won three out of their last four matches, securing a spot in next season's Champions League. In the latest round, Marseille defeated Le Havre 3-1 away, and thanks to Rennes' victory over Nice (2-0), Marseille will finish no lower than third. If they beat Rennes in the final round, they could finish just behind PSG, with Monaco trailing by one point.

However, Marseille are already planning for next season's Champions League campaign. Among various transfer rumors (primarily about Paul Pogba and Leroy Sane, as well as Manor Solomon), the club intends to keep 30-year-old midfielder Adrien Rabiot. According to RMC Sport, Rabiot signed a two-year contract in September last year with a 10-million-euro release clause. Now, Marseille are looking to extend his contract and improve his financial terms. Rabiot, who scored eight goals and provided six assists this season, is inclined to stay:

"Initially, putting in so much effort to get Marseille into the Champions League, then leaving after qualifying for the most prestigious European tournament, probably doesn’t make any sense," concluded Adrien.
