Raphinha points to wrist bandage after scoring against Real Madrid – possibly responding to doping rumors
1
Raphinha’s goal celebrations against Real Madrid may have been a reaction to recent doping allegations.
Shortly before the latest El Clasico — which Barcelona won 4–3 — Real Madrid’s former head of medical staff and current medical consultant, Niko Mihic, suggested that some Barcelona players might be hiding injection marks. He stated, “Doctors know: wrists provide easy access to veins.”
According to Marca, after both of his goals, Raphinha Diaz pointed directly at the blue bandage on his wrist. This gesture is being interpreted as a response to Mihic’s comments.
