'Real Madrid loves me': Ancelotti claims he wasn't kicked out by Madrid big bosses
There have been talks in some quarters that Real Madrid fired Carlo Ancelotti, forcing him to take the Brazil job as he had little or no choice.
Ancelotti claims that such a narrative cannot be further from the truth.
"I've never felt that Madrid didn't want me. Madrid loves me. Even if I leave for Brazil on the 25th. Madrid always loves me. They've always shown me affection.
"I couldn't be the Madrid manager for life. This comes to an end for many reasons. Maybe the club needs a new push. There's no need to make a big deal out of this. A thousand thanks to this club. And we'll continue.
"I'll be a Madrid fan for life. It's a period that's coming to an end. Spectacular.
"I never thought I'd be able to manage Madrid for six years, and it's happened," Ancelotti says.
It's sad that Ancelotti is leaving Real Madrid in some sort of a whimper as opposed to a loud ovation. Sadly, it's because Real Madrid are finishing the season without winning a trophy.
