Amorim: Champions League spot more important than Europa trophy for Man United
Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has set his sights on a higher goal, stating that securing a Champions League spot is more important than winning the Europa League trophy.
Despite the allure of European silverware, Amorim believes that qualifying for the Champions League is crucial for the club's long-term success.
"Personally for me, I think the Champions League is more important for everything, to prepare the next season," Amorim said.
"We are supposed to be in the Champions League; the Europa League here is not enough. This is the best way to get us to the top in a few years."
With the Europa League final against Tottenham Hotspur looming, Amorim's comments highlight the club's ambition to return to the top tier of European football.
A Champions League spot would not only bring significant financial benefits but also provide a platform to attract top talent and build a stronger squad.
