Brahim out of Mallorca clash: Ancelotti faces selection crisis with only 10 first-team players available
Brahim Diaz has been ruled out of the game between Real Madrid and Mallorca later on Wednesday night.
What that means is that Real Madrid is at risk of improper alignment and balance in that game due to player unavailability.
Marca reports that Real Madrid of the 10 available 1st team players (Courtois, Valverde, Fran García, Vallejo, Modric, Ceballos, Güler, Bellingham, Mbappé and Endrick), 7 have to be on the field at all times as per the regulations.
Thus, Ancelotti will have to be extremely careful with his substitutions, which will be quite limited.
If Ancelotti makes the wrong substitution, the game could immediately be suspended with Madrid docked three points and three goals.
That would immediately hand the title to Barcelona.
Here's Madrid's potential XI for the game: Courtois; Valverde, Asencio Jacobo, Fran; Arda, Modrić, Ceballos, Bellingham; Endrick, Mbappé.
Bench: Vallejo plus 6 academy players.
