Como offer €12m for Maximo Perrone but Manchester City want €30m package to finalise deal - Fabrizio Romano

Como have submitted an offer worth €12m to sign Maximo Perrone on a permanent deal from Manchester City, but the Premier League club are holding out for a €30m package to complete the transfer immediately, as reported by Fabrizio Romano.

Perrone, 22, is currently on loan at the Serie A side, where he has impressed under the management of Cesc Fabregas. Despite limited opportunities at City since joining from Velez Sarsfield in 2023, the Argentine midfielder has become an important figure in Como’s midfield, making 24 league appearances this season.

Although the Italian club are keen to make his stay permanent, negotiations between the two sides are ongoing. Manchester City believe Perrone's value has increased following a solid season in Italy’s top flight and are in no rush to accept the initial offer.

The loan deal includes a clause that allows Como to extend the agreement for another year, meaning Perrone will continue at the club next season even if no immediate transfer is agreed.

Perrone has already spoken publicly about his desire to stay in Como, saying he is happy playing under Fabregas and wants to keep helping the team develop in Serie A.
