Las Palmas release statement after relegation from La Liga
Las Palmas have officially been relegated from La Liga following their releagtion from La Liga following their 1-0 defeat at the hands of Sevilla.
With their relegation now mathematically confirmed, Las Palmas released this statement:
"Today is one of those days that hurt. Relegation has been confirmed, and with it comes a sadness that we share with all those who wear these colors. It's not just qualification: it's the blow that leaves you breathless after so much drive, so much hope, so much journey together.
"To you, the fans, the first thing we have to do is apologize. We're sorry for not having reciprocated with results for everything you've given us. To those who have been season ticket holders, who have filled the stadium, who have followed the team at home and away. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
"We've worked with honesty and commitment, but it hasn't been enough. There were decisions that didn't go well. We acknowledge that openly. And starting today, we're starting to get back up because we're not going to stay on the ground. We'll come back. Stronger and more united. Because this isn't just about going up or going down.
