Flick becomes first German coach to win three titles with Spanish club
7
Barcelona have officially secured the La Liga title after beating Espanyol 2–0. The win confirms their dominance this season under new coach Hansi Flick.
The victory also gives Flick his third trophy with the club. He becomes the first German manager in history to win three titles with a Spanish side in a single season.
“It’s a proud moment,” said Flick. “We worked hard for this and the players deserve the credit.”
Barcelona now have four trophies this season, their best tally since 2015–16. Flick said: “We stayed focused, even in difficult moments. That’s why we are champions.”
“It’s only the beginning,” added the German. “The club have a great future, and we want to keep improving step by step.”
