Sevilla vs Real Madrid match is halted due to balloons on pitch
The match between Sevilla and Real Madrid was interrupted due to balloons on the field. Real Madrid are playing away to Sevilla in La Liga's Matchday 37 (1–0, second half).
In the 67th minute, referee Mateo Busquets paused the game after home fans threw yellow balloons onto the pitch at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan stadium.
A few minutes later, the balloons were cleared, and the referee resumed the match. Fans continued waving balloons in the stands.
Notably, Sevilla supporters used this action to protest against club president Jose Maria del Nido Carrasco. The team is currently in 14th place in the league standings.
