Manchester United's pursuit of Wolverhampton Wanderers star Matheus Cunha is nearing completion.

According to Sky Sports, the Brazilian international has accepted a move to Old Trafford and is set to agree personal terms with the Red Devils.

Ruben Amorim has given the green light to the deal, viewing Cunha as "perfect" for United's project.

Cunha's impressive stats have caught the eye of Amorim, with the 25-year-old scoring 33 goals and providing 15 assists in 90 appearances for Wolves.

This season alone, he has netted 17 times with six assists in 34 outings across all competitions. United are expected to trigger Cunha's £62.5 million release clause, with Wolves open to accepting payment in instalments.

The deal is expected to be finalized soon, potentially making Cunha available for United's pre-season tour of the United States.

Ipswich striker Liam Delap, another target for United, may still be pursued, but Cunha's transfer is reportedly the priority.
