Chelsea and PSG legend Thiago Silva reveals dream of playing for Barcelona: 'I always wanted to play there'

At 40, Thiago Silva remains a towering figure in 21st-century football, having won the Champions League with Chelsea in 2021 and serving as one of PSG’s most iconic captains.

Despite a storied career alongside the game’s elite, Silva admitted one unfulfilled dream: playing for Barcelona.

"Before I joined PSG, Barcelona were very persistent. It was tough because I’d just renewed with Milan. But Barcelona were truly my dream team. I always wanted to play there. It made me think, but I didn’t end up going," Silva said.

Now with Brazilian club Fluminense, the veteran defender has scored one goal in 13 matches across all competitions this season, showcasing his enduring quality.
