Bayern Munich are poised to sign Bayer Leverkusen’s Jonathan Tah on a free transfer this summer as his contract expires.
Despite reports of FC Barcelona’s lingering interest, with coach Hansi Flick pushing for the 29-year-old German international, Bayern remain the frontrunners.
Transfer insider Fabrizio Romano confirms Bayern have presented Tah with an official long-term contract offer, and the defender is expected to decide soon.
Tah, who made 48 appearances in Leverkusen’s unbeaten 2023/24 treble-winning season. With Eric Dier’s departure to Monaco, Bayern see Tah as a key defensive reinforcement ahead of the FIFA Club World Cup.
