'He must go where he feels confident': Monaco’s sporting director on Maghnes Akliouche’s future

Maghnes Akliouche, who has had an impressive season with AS Monaco, is likely to leave the club this summer, as confirmed by sporting director Thiago Scuro.

The 22-year-old attacking midfielder, with 10 assists and 5 goals in Ligue 1 this season, appears set to depart Monaco, a possibility Scuro hinted at during a press conference on Monday. He advised Akliouche to join a club where he can continue to develop and boost his chances of earning an international call-up.

"Whether he stays or goes, both are good options for him. Few clubs can afford a player of his caliber. He needs to be smart in his choice. If he leaves, it must be for a club that suits him, with a playing style that fits, a place where he feels confident to become an international - he deserves it," Scuro stated.

Notably, PSG have reportedly identified Akliouche as a potential target for the upcoming transfer window.
