Laporta: Barcelona is the best club for Lamine Yamal. He is destined to be best in the world

"Lamine's renewal? It's going well. He's an exceptional player and feels comfortable at Barcelona. We're currently working on signing the contract," Barcelona president Joan Laporta says.

"The issue has been discussed but the signature is still missing. I can't say it's done if it isn't done. However, the issue is being worked on. We are delighted with him. Deco is working on his signature.

Lamine's current deal runs until the summer of 2026, but he's also one of the lowest-paid players at the club.

The Spaniard will be handed a bumper new deal and the number 10 shirt at Barca.
