Luis Henrique saga: Are Juve ready to beat Inter to punch? Marseille president warns Nerazzurri
Inter's season won’t end on May 31 with the Champions League final. Two weeks later, the Club World Cup will begin, serving as a bridge to the next season. For this tournament, the club intends to bring in two or even three new players. In addition to Petar Sucic, everything seemed set for the arrival of Luis Henrique, but negotiations for the Brazilian forward from Olympique Marseille are turning into a real transfer saga.
Despite recent reports claiming that an agreement had been reached for €21 million, OM president Pablo Longoria, speaking at a press conference after the final league match that secured Marseille’s return to the Champions League, alarmed Inter with these words: "Negotiations with Inter for Luis Henrique? Not only — there are ongoing talks with several clubs."
The Marseille chief also had kind words for the Brazilian winger: "I’m proud that Luis Henrique has drawn the attention of several top European clubs, because that’s something I promised him before he arrived."
One of those clubs could be Juventus, which has reportedly entered the talks between Inter and Olympique. Too late? Longoria warns all suitors: "Our goal is to sell Luis Henrique before June 30 for budgetary reasons and out of respect for our ownership."
