'No need to talk about anyone' - Slot keeps mum on Frimpong transfer
5
Liverpool manager Arne Slot has declined to comment on potential signing Jeremy Frimpong, citing the club's policy of discussing transfers only after announcements are made.
"What do you think? What we all know is the moment we announce it, that is the moment to talk about it, in general, and we haven't announced anything, so no need to talk about anyone," Slot said.
The Netherlands international right-back, who has reportedly told Bayer Leverkusen he wants to leave, is understood to have taken part of his medical in the northwest.
Liverpool are said to have met Frimpong's €35m release clause. Slot's silence suggests the transfer is imminent, but the club remains tight-lipped until an official announcement.
