Rangers FC again want Steven Gerrard for head coach role - Sky

Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard has been shortlisted for the vacant head coach position at Scottish club Rangers FC, reports Sky Sports.

Rangers sacked Philippe Clement in February, appointing Barry Ferguson as interim manager for the remainder of the season. Following confirmation of Ferguson’s departure, the club is now seeking a permanent manager, compiling a list of candidates.

Alongside Gerrard, who managed Rangers from 2018 to 2021, the shortlist includes Davide Ancelotti, known for assisting his father Carlo, former Luton boss Rob Edwards, ex-Southampton coach Russell Martin, Sheffield Wednesday’s Danny Rohl, and Gary O’Neil, who started the season at Wolverhampton.

Rangers are set to begin interviews and aim to make an appointment in the coming weeks.
